At the Dallas Holiday Parade on December 7, Frost Bank and CultureMap's Opt for Optimism 2019 campaign went out on a sweet note with an optimism-themed float and giant candy cane balloon.
More than 100,000 attendees got to interact with Frost volunteers and make the Optometer go wild with thoughts of good cheer.
Frost regional president Rod Washington made his debut on the live CW33 broadcast explaining the campaign while wearing his "Do Good" shirt.
One of the main parade volunteers jumped at the opportunity to meet Washington and tell him about his incredible experience banking at Frost. He said he had been with the bank for over 30 years and raved about the "heart" of it and why he continues to stay there.
Attendees could get their own piece of the signature color with blue candy canes, along with acrylic "glass half-full" pins.
Folks could also take a moment to reflect on what brings them joy by writing on the Call Me Optimistic chalkboards, where answers ranged from "my family" to "holiday food."
The dance team that accompanied the Frost float shared that they had been going through a tough season with some changeover in coaches, and the one thing that has kept them going is staying positive and giving each other affirmation at the end of each practice.
