Pet of the Week
SPCA of Texas has just the older man for you: Mack the Labrador mix
Some of our former featured pets really need your help: Rupaul, Athena and Little One still need forever homes, so help us spread the word about these lovable, adoptable companions.
Meanwhile, we have a new dog to introduce that we know you are going to love. Mack is a good-looking boy who arrived at the SPCA of Texas on March 18 when he was transferred in from another facility.
Breed: Labrador mix
Age: 7 years
Weight: 53 pounds
Personality: His big, happy smile is sure to make anyone’s day. His eyes and sleek, black coat truly shine when he is outside playing ball or inside cuddling with those he loves.
Vital stats: Mack is heartworm positive, but his treatments are free to his new family at a Dallas-Fort Worth VCA animal hospital after he is adopted. This provides the best total care for heartworm-positive dogs like Mack in treatment, and he has access to emergency care and overnight stays if necessary.
Come meet Max (#129476) today at the SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Dr., near I-30 and Hampton Road. The center is open seven days a week, noon-6 pm.
Regular adoption fees are $95-$125 for puppies 0-6 months, $75-$95 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $50 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $95 for kittens, $75 for adult cats, $50 for senior cats 7 years and older, and $50 for VIP cats.
