Everyone loves Fort Worth
Dallas Business Journal publisher doubles down with Fort Worth spinoff

There are lots of publications covering the Fort Worth business scene.
As Fort Worth’s population continues to climb beyond 1 million, its media landscape continues to expand, too. A new publication from out of town has now set its sights on the city.
Charlotte, North Carolina-based American City Business Journals (ACBJ), publisher of the Dallas Business Journal, plans to launch the digital-only Fort Worth Business Journal in October.
The new publication will cover beats such as commercial real estate, residential real estate, retail, manufacturing, health care and economic development, the owners say say.
It will join other publications in a crowded field covering the Fort Worth business scene, including the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth Business Press, Fort Worth Inc./Fort Worth Magazine, Fort Worth Report, and The Dallas Morning News.
The Fort Worth Business Journal does NOT mention lifestyle news as an area of coverage. CultureMap Fort Worth is still the No. 1 place for that, baby.
Business Journal stories are behind a paywall and require a subscription to read for free.
“Fort Worth is the nation’s 10th-largest city, and its businesspeople deserve the type of intelligence that ACBJ is known for,” says Mike Olivieri, executive vice president of ACBJ and president of local markets. “Helping people grow their businesses, advance their careers, and simplify their professional lives is what we do best. We look forward to delivering on that mission in Fort Worth while leaning into new, innovative products for our members.”
Aside from the Dallas Business Journal, ACBJ owns the Austin, Houston, and San Antonio business journals, which publish both print and digital editions. ACBJ also operates digital-only newsrooms in markets like Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City.
The Dallas Business Journal’s Fort Worth reporter, Seth Bodine, will jump to the Fort Worth Business Journal to help guide its launch. Hiring is underway for other Fort Worth newsroom jobs.
Journalists at the Fort Worth Business Journal probably won’t be scrounging for news, as the Fort Worth area is home to major employers like American Airlines, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, GM Financial, General Motors, and Lockheed Martin. Furthermore, Hillwood’s 27,000-acre, master-planned AllianceTexas development created a regional economic impact of $12.9 billion in 2025 thanks to over 600 companies that support more than 73,000 jobs.
