Grand 2-story Topgolf venue to swing into EpicCentral in Grand Prairie

Dallas loves its Topgolf and now it gets a new location: The high-tech golf chain with in-house restauant and bar just broke ground on a grand two-story venue in Grand Prairie, south of IKEA, at 3670 S. SH-161, with an opening slated for late 2025. According to a release, this will be the fifth in DFW and the 15th in Texas, part of a portfolio of more than 100 locations around the world.

Headquartered in Dallas, Topgolf describes itself as a golf experience where anyone, from newbies to veterans who want to practice their swing, can participate in the sport in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.

The Grand Prairie location will have 80 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays spanning two levels. Each bay will have lounge-type furniture or high-top tables where groups can play with friends.

The venue will be equipped with Toptracer technology, which traces each golf ball's flight path and distance. It will also feature Topgolf's newest game, Sonic theHedgehog, developed in partnership with SEGA, wherein players can aim at giant outfield targets to hit springs, collect rings, and take down badniks in virtual Sonic environments, designed with all skill levels in mind.

They also have a golf club called The Sure Thing that's designed to make golf less hard for beginners, and players will also be able to take lessons through Topgolf's Coach program, led by the venue's Director of Instruction.

Food & drink
The venue will also have an in-house full-service bar and restaurant, fire pits, music, and year-round family-friendly programming. A private event space and rooftop terrace are available for rent.

In a statement, Topgolf chief development officer Chris Callaway says, "we're excited to break ground on our newest venue near Grand Prairie's popular entertainment district, EpicCentral. Topgolf Grand Prairie will be an ideal midpoint between Topgolf Fort Worth and Topgolf Dallas, further extending our unique style of modern golf to seasoned Players and beginner golfers alike throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region."
