Fans of the FX show The League might recognize Tie Society as Taco’s harebrained “Neckflix” business plan from “The Light of Genesis” episode. But we’re told that Tie Society claims The League was inspired by it, not the other way around.
Perhaps not surprisingly, TieTry has the same business model. But that online service only does ties, and it is more expensive, so it will not be mentioned again.
Tie Society has stats on each tie — material, pattern and width — and recommends the outfit that would best complement the tie you’ve selected. For the Ben Sherman city plaid slim silk tie, the company recommends that you “take the opportunity to sport your favorite denim jacket and a white oxford.”
