New-to-Texas shop brings beachy boho threads to Dallas' Henderson Avenue
A California-based retailer is planting roots in Texas, with a store along one of Dallas’ most happening strips. Planet Blue opens July 2 at 3010 Henderson Ave. (former Trunk Club space), bringing with it the beachy boho clothes and accessories for which the brand is known.
All 3,200 square feet of the new store will reflect a Cali-cool aesthetic, in lines such as Blue Life, For Love and Lemons, Stone Cold Fox, Nightcap, Free People, and Mara Hoffman. Think printed tunics, flowing maxi dresses, rompers and jumpsuits, short shorts, tattered jeans, and lace bell-bottomed pants. Accessories include jewelry, shoes, handbags, sunglasses and belts.
Prices range from around $85 for a Blue Life racer-bank tank dress to $495 for a Nightcap kimono cut-out maxi dress.
According to a release, Planet Blue loves Dallas. “Texans get it,” said vice president of retail David Lindell. “You can take fashion seriously without taking yourself too seriously.
“We see the Dallas customer in our store daily and also feel their strong support in our online business, so we can’t wait to return the love by bringing the good vibes to Knox-Henderson.”
Planet Blue has eight U.S. stores (six of those in California). In addition to Dallas, five more are in the works: Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Manhattan Beach and Honolulu.
