Affordable facial spa hits its heyday with 2 new Dallas-area locations
A fast-growing facial and skincare shop from New York is in expansion mode around Dallas-Fort Worth: Heyday is opening two new locations this fall, in Preston Hollow and Legacy West.
They're the third and fourth Dallas-Fort Worth locations of the "more affordable and accessible" facial spa to debut in the past 10 months, following shops in Knox-Henderson and Southlake.
First up is Preston Hollow, in the Preston Oaks shopping center, at 10720 Preston Rd. #1001, Dallas. According to a release, the shop will soft open on Wednesday, September 20. As a special grand opening deal, they're offering facials for $65 if booked by September 19 for appointments between September 20 and October 4.
Then comes Legacy West, opening Wednesday, October 4. It'll settle in next to Legacy Hall, at 5901 Winthrop St. Suite K120, Plano. They're also offering an opening deal, but it's not quite the discount that lucky Preston Hollow gets. "To celebrate the opening, first time facials at the Legacy West shop will be available for $79 for a limited time, and can be booked at this link," says the release.
Heyday's 50-minute facials typically run $135. They keep things more affordable and simpler than at luxury spas by providing just one type of facial that gets tailored to each client. To be clear, it's not a med spa - no fillers or laser lipo being done here.
All facials include a thorough skin analysis by a trained esthetician, who customizes treatments with services like exfoliation, masks, extractions, and facial massage, then offers a personalized regimen that guests can replicate at home with the same products and brands available for purchase in-store and online.
Optional facial enhancements include Gua Sha, microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, professional peels, microcurrent, and hydration infusion.
As Heyday's goal is to “take the facial out of the spa and into your life,” they also make the experience less fussy than at posh day spas: treatments are performed in semi-private rooms, and guests do not undress into a robe, making it easier to fit facials into everyday schedules, they say.
Their front-of-house retail store sells high-end and "clean" brands such as Naturopathica, Image, Moon Juice, One Love, Grown Alchemist, Ursa Major, Supergoop, Skyn Iceland, and more.
Heyday offers monthly memberships ($104/month) that include a monthly facial, 50% off all enhancements and 20% off products your first month (15% every month after).
Patrick Ryan-Southern, CEO of L5 Skincare, the Heyday franchising entity, says the company is "excited" to join the community of Preston Hollow" and "thrilled" to open in Legacy West.
"In a city with a number of expensive spas that focus on more than just quality facial services, Heyday is offering something different," he says in the release. "We take the facial out of the spa and create an approachable experience in order to connect with each customer and provide quality solutions that fit their skin needs.”
Heyday was founded in 2015 in New York by Adam Ross, who set out to make facials more approachable and accessible to all, according to the website. The concept took off, and the company expanded coast-to-coast, with locations across California and throughout the United States.
Both new DFW locations will be open 10 am-7 pm Monday through Friday, 9 am-6 pm Saturday and Sunday, and closed Monday and Tuesday.
