Going Green
Partiers dressed in 50 shades of green descend on Greenville for St. Patrick's Parade and Festival
We’re only willing to wake up early on a weekend a few times a year. The annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration along Greenville Avenue is definitely one of them.
On Saturday, March 16, herds of partiers donning 50 shades of green headed to the newly renamed Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival to imbibe on beer, Jell-O shots and all manner of funky green drinks.
Oh, and to partake in a parade. Scottish pipes and drums groups from Fort Worth and Addison Fire Department provided some of the pre-Snoop Dogg Lion sounds, along with a few bands performing on floating stages. Among the 90 floaters: giant four-leaf clovers, 105.3 The Fan truck, a mini DART bus following a big DART bus, Kiss Me I’m Cajun float, a crowd of bicyclists, a golf cart full of clowns, and too many leprechauns to count.
Still ready to party? The St. Patrick’s Day festivities continue throughout Dallas on Sunday.
