Huge fitness studio from Las Vegas gets pumped for first Dallas gym
UPDATE: TruFusion will open on August 1 at 9100 N. Central Expy. Complimentary classes will be available through August 4, and memberships will begin August 5, the company says.

A mega-fitness studio from Las Vegas will open its first Dallas location near NorthPark Center in spring 2019. TruFusion, which will house five studios under one roof, will break ground December 19 at 9100 N. Central Expy., in Caruth Plaza shopping center, near North Central Expressway and Park Lane.
And it comes with celebrity cred. While TruFusion founder Martin Hinton is from Dallas, his major investor is retired Major League Baseball slugger (and one-time Texas Ranger) Alex Rodriguez. A-Rod's celebrity girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, reportedly is also a fan of the gym.
The 12,210-square-foot studio will offer heated and unheated yoga, cycling, boot camp, barre, and Pilates — and those are just the main categories. There actually will be than 65 class styles, up to 240 group classes per week, taught by certified instructors.
Signature classes include Tru Bootcamp (fusing Pilates, kettlebell, and yoga), Tru Hot Barre (a fusion of yoga, Pilates, cardio, and ballet), Tru TRX (suspension training), and one of its most popular, the “R-rated” Down ‘N’ Dirty Bootcamp.
There will also be a juice and smoothie bar for rehydration.
Hinton says he first fell in love with hot yoga in his hometown of Dallas. He founded TruFusion in Las Vegas in 2013, and A-Rod signed on as an equity partner.
The company has expanded rapidly and there are now TruFusion studios in locations nationwide.
“It is a personal and professional accomplishment for me to bring TruFusion to my hometown in Texas,” says Hinton in a release. “I know that the people of Dallas are going to love our studio, brand, and unique classes. Our concept is a fusion of Dallas’ favorite workouts: cycling, yoga, Pilates, boot camp, and more.”
Seven more Dallas-Fort Worth locations are planned, the company says, and a studio will open in Austin in 2019.
“My team is extremely excited to bring the very first TruFusion to Dallas,” says Azim Mamdani, franchisee for TruFusion. “As soon as we took classes at TruFusion, we knew the Dallas fitness community would fall in love with the variety just as we did. There are classes for every type of fitness fanatic; no matter the level, there is a class for you.”
TruFusion is a membership-based gym. Members get unlimited access to every class and can customize their experience based on interests and fitness levels. Ahead of the official opening, they're offering a $99 monthly unlimited membership; members that sign up for it prior to opening will be able to keep the rate, the company says.
New customers, they say, will also be able to try out TruFusion with a 30-classes-for-$30 membership.
