1. Salad and Go to close all remaining Dallas restaurants and exit Texas. Quick-salad chain Salad and Go is saying goodbye to Dallas-Fort Worth. The healthy drive-thru company is closing its remaining 25 area restaurants and exiting Texas as it shifts its focus to Arizona and Nevada.
2. Palladino's Steak & Seafood opening in Dallas earns raves in New York. High-profile new steakhouse Palladino’s Steak & Seafood, the eponymous concept from restaurateur Joseph Palladino slated to open in North Dallas in spring 2026, is currently the toast of New York.
3. Gloria's Latin Cuisine packs up Frisco restaurant and moves to Plano. One door has closed and another has opened for popular Salvadoran and Tex-Mex chain Gloria’s Latin Cuisine. The restaurant has moved from its longtime Frisco location, and into a newly built Plano outpost just one mile away.
4. Italian restaurant from TV chef to debut at Dallas' Victory Park. A celebrity chef-led restaurant that's been in the works for nearly three years is finally opening its doors in Dallas' Victory Park. Urban Italia, from chef Carla Pellegrino, debuted Friday, January 9 in the former WFAA studio at 3030 Nowitzki Way.
5. Texas supermarket chain H-E-B to open its first location in Carrollton. The city of Carrollton will welcome its first location of the massively popular H-E-B supermarket chain.
