    Stout Workout

6 Dallas workouts where you can burn your way to brunch and drinks

    Vital Fitness' Bike + Brunch

Yogis can love a good brew. Cardio junkies can enjoy a mimosa or two. And everyone can agree that exercise is best when it precedes a tasty meal or drink. Grab a yoga mat or tennis shoes and try out one of these local restaurants and brew houses that host workout specials. Consider it a reward for a tough workout because balance is the name of the game, right?

     Yoga on the HG Rooftop
Kurt Johnson teaches a yoga class for all levels at 9 am on April 1 on the rooftop of HG Sply Co. After the workout, let a brunch buffet and mimosas refuel you. Lowest Greenville Collective is hosting its Experience Lowest Greenville festival the same day, making this an event within an event. Tickets, which usually sell out, are $35.

Bike + Brunch at Vital Fitness Studio
The Joule’s fitness studio Vital offers a 45-minute spin class and prix-fixe brunch every third Saturday of the month at 11:15 am. After the performance ride, indulge in Nutella doughnuts, a mimosa, and other goodies at the delicious American-Italian eatery Americano. This $40 class is not exclusive to Vital members.

Yoga or Burn & Brews at Community Beer Co.
As one of the first breweries in North Texas to capitalize on those who love a sweaty workout and a cold pint, Community Beer offers about two sweat sessions per month, usually announced on Facebook. On April 22, CubeFit Yoga teaches a one-hour yoga class followed by a brewery tour and pint. Catch Burn & Brews, a 45-minute HIIT (high intensity interval training) session, followed by a tour and beer, on a to-be-announced Saturday in April. Both classes start at 10:30 am and cost $15.

Brawl & Brews at Texas Ale Project
The Design District brewery partnered with Barre Code Plano and Barre Code Dallas Design District to offer a 50-minute kickboxing class called Brawl, followed by a brew on April 1. Brawl ends just in time for a free tour of the brewery. Though Barre Codes are hosting the event, there’s no need to be a member at the fitness studios to join. Members pay $15 and non-members pay $20.

Yoga & Craft Beer at Tupps Brewery
North Dallas yogis can sign up for a stout workout at Tupps Brewery in McKinney on April 22 at 9 am. BYOM (bring your own mat, that is) to this free hour-long class. After getting into a warrior state of mind, sip on a Cotton Mill Gold, Black Ale, or another brew (or kombucha). Plus, Tupps’ event is the perfect excuse to explore this charming town.

     Yoga Brunch Dallas
The name of this business founded by two sisters explains itself. Choose one of five yoga-and-brunch options or customize your own for an in-home yoga-and-brunch experience. Grab four or more friends and pick from options such as Detox, which includes a 75-minute detox session and a smorgasbord of juices, fresh salmon, and bagels, or Party Yogis, an energizing take on a cocktail party with hors d'oeuvre.

    Snarf's is coming to Dallas

A cult-favorite sandwich from Colorado is coming to Dallas: Snarf’s Sandwiches, a sandwich shop chain from Boulder will make its Dallas debut with a first location opening in Snider Plaza, in the former Cisco Grill space at 6630 Snider Plaza.

According to a release, it'll open in late 2025.

Named for its founder Jimmy "Snarf" Seidel, Snarf's is known for its oven-toasted sandwiches and bold, quirky personality. Since launching in 1996, they've earned a following for made-to-order sandwiches and are known for their proprietary blend of giardiniera peppers and signature bread.

The bread is special because they bake it on site, and then they toast it when they make your sandwich.

Sandwiches come in nearly two dozen options, including an Italian sandwich with salami, pepperoni, capicola, mortadella, & provolone; plus meatball, egg salad, prime rib & provolone, corned beef & Swiss, pastrami & Swiss, brisket w/ BBQ, French dip with provolone, rotisserie chicken, portobello, eggplant parmesan, and artichoke & feta. Sandwiches come in 7-inch or 12-inch sizes and prices range from $13 to $18.

There are also soups and entree-sized salads for $12.30 including a Cobb, a Greek salad, tuna salad, and chicken salad; plus sides like potato salad and coleslaw, and cookies for dessert.

The chain now has nearly 50 locations across Colorado, Missouri, and Texas, including Austin. Part of their ethos is to cultivate a local presence with community support for schools, local nonprofits, and neighbors in need.

“We believe in investing in the places we call home. That’s what we plan to do here,” said Seidel.

The Dallas location offer dine-in, takeout, online ordering and catering. Diners can expect a colorful, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the brand’s funky roots.

“We’re wildly excited to finally bring Snarf’s to Dallas,” Seidel says. “This city has amazing energy, deep-rooted food traditions, and a real sense of community—everything we love. We’re excited to be a part of it—not just by serving high quality food, but by showing up for the people who live and work here.”
