KidneyTexas Inc. president Natalie Taylor welcomed underwriters and committee members to Tootsies for a stylish kickoff soiree for the upcoming Runway Report Luncheon and Style Show. Taylor expressed special thanks to VIPs Nerissa von Helpenstill and Dustin Holcomb for their generous hospitality and for Tootsies sponsorship of the luncheon’s fashion show, which will be produced by Jan Strimple.
Guests — including Christina White, Lauryn Gayle, Linda and Steve Ivy, Emilynn Wilson, Carol Plunk, Terri Bumgarner, McKamy Tiner, Christine Martin, Renee and David Winter, and Suzette Derrick — enjoyed sumptuous hors d’oeuvre and cocktails and were all ears when Ann Dyer, recipient of the Service Award, spoke.
Dyer addressed the intimate crowd about her son’s ordeal when he suffered from a kidney condition as a child and how that deeply personal experience is the reason she first started volunteering with KidneyTexas years ago. Dyer was happy to report that her son is now healthy and encouraged everyone to realize that there is a healthy future for many who have suffered with kidney conditions and disease.
Luncheon underwriting and sponsorships are still available for the September 24 luncheon. Tickets begin at $250. To purchase, visit the KidneyTexas website or call 214-891-0896.
