Holiday Fundraising
DIFFA does it up at Dallas’ most decorative holiday fundraising affair
Leave it to DIFFA/Dallas to kick off the holiday season in such great style. Recently supporters gathered at Fashion Industry Gallery for the 21st annual Holiday Wreath Collection, where 100 one-of-a-kind creations were hung with care.
Those wreaths — designed by Stanley Korshak, Neiman Marcus, Dylan’s Candy Bar, Christofle, Akola Jewelry, Amy Berry Design, and many more — go up for bid to help DIFFA provide funds to AIDS service organizations throughout North Texas. But as is the DIFFA way, the fundraising was fabulous. In addition to the signature holiday décor, gift and home items were also up for grabs, including a living room curated by Erdos at Home.
As they circled the gallery, admiring the handiwork of the contributing designers, festively dressed partygoers imbibed cocktails and noshed hors d’oeuvre provided by III Forks and Toni Rivard. They also got first dibs on the most valuable tables for House of DIFFA 2017.
Spotted in the crowd were DIFFA/Dallas chairman of the board Chuck Steelman; Holiday Wreath Collection chairman Warren Wetzel; hosts John Erdos, Ferrell Drum, Morgan Cox, and Ralph Randall; House of DIFFA chairman Sami Abboud; DIFFA Style Council ambassador Julian Leaver; and LeeAnne Locken, Chad Collom, Heidi Dillon, Allan Knight, and Krystal and Tommy DeAlano.
The next House of DIFFA, with an Arabesque theme, is set for May 6 , 2017, at Omni Dallas hotel. Tickets are on sale now.
