Jet off to Aspen or Disney World on JSX's new hop-on flights from Dallas

JSX hop-on jet service is ready to take off from Love Field to two of Dallasites' favorite hot spots: Aspen and Orlando.

According to an October 19 release, new daily nonstop flights from Dallas to Orlando, Florida will begin in mid-December, as will new nonstop winter-seasonal service from Dallas to Rifle/Aspen, Colorado. Fares start at $299 one-way.

New JSX Flights between Orlando (MCO) and Dallas (DAL) – starting December 15, 2022

Flights between Orlando (MCO) and Dallas (DAL) will begin Thursday, December 15, 2022, and will operate once daily year-round.
Introductory fares start at $299 one-way and include at least two checked bags (weight/size restrictions apply), onboard cocktails, and gourmet snacks.

New JSX Seasonal Flights between Dallas (DAL) and Rifle/Aspen (RIL) – starting December 16, 2022

Flights between Dallas (DAL) and Rifle/Aspen (RIL) will begin Friday, December 16, 2022 offering a holiday-oriented schedule through January 2, 2023. The regular service will officially start on Thursday, January 12, 2023, and will operate once a day on Thursdays and Sundays with a weekly Saturday flight commencing on February 16, 2023 throughout the winter season.
Introductory fares start at $369 one-way and include at least two checked bags such as snowboards and skis (weight/size restrictions apply), onboard cocktails, and gourmet snacks.
Go Rentals and a luxury shuttle service will be available for passengers to book upon arrival to the RIL hangar for quick access to area’s resorts.

Orlando is the nearest airport to the DisneyWorld complex, and Rifle/Aspen provides easy access to popular ski locations, including Aspen, Vail, and Beaver Creek. (Trivia tidbit: Rifle is also the area’s most reliable airport for clear weather, offering operating conditions that allow for a more reliable flight schedule. JSX adds.)

JSX is also adding service between Westchester County (HPN) and Orlando, and from Burbank (BUR) to Rifle/Aspen.

"Our new flights to Orlando and Rifle/Aspen reinforce our commitment to bringing travelers where they most want to go, in the most convenient and hassle-free way possible,” says JSX CEO Alex Wilcox in the release. “Whether in search of snowy mountains or sun-soaked theme parks, our expanded service provides a better travel option for families, couples, adventure-seekers, friends, and business travelers."

On JSX flights, passengers can check at least two bags, sip onboard cocktails, and spread out with business-class legroom onboard JSX’s single-seating aircraft "where every seat is both an aisle and a window," the company reminds. The 30-seat planes will beam up to SpaceX's Starlink Wifi by the end of the year, they say, and there's a pet-friendly policy that allows small dogs and cats to fly for free.

JSX also continues to tout its "no crowds, no lines, and no fuss" travel experience. Dallas travelers fly out of a private terminal at Love Field and can arrive just 20 minutes before "hopping on" their flight. Passengers have access to valet parking, touchless check-in, Wi-Fi lounges, and speedy baggage retrieval.

Founded in 2016, JSX relocated its headquarters from Irvine, California to Dallas in 2018. JSX debuted service from Love Field in June 2020, with introductory flights to Las Vegas and North Carolina, then added service to Houston and Austin, the West Texas golf resort Lajitas, Las Vegas, and special routes to Los Cabos, Mexico, Miami, and Destin, Florida.

DFW Airport seeks local restaurants to fill 14 new open slots

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is seeking new restaurants who want to open a location on the premises. According to a release, the airport has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP), inviting local brands and flavors to apply for 14 retail and dining locations across multiple terminals.

“As we build new gates, reimagine existing spaces and construct a new Terminal F, DFW Airport is committed to showcasing our region through our shops and restaurants so that when people travel through our terminals, there’s no denying they have arrived in the heart of Dallas and Fort Worth,” says DFW Chief Revenue Officer Ken Buchanan in a statement. “DFW serves tens of millions of travelers each year, and this is a chance for local businesses to help create an incredible sense of place within our terminals.”

The RFP is open for submissions now through February 2, 2026, and includes 11 food and beverage opportunities and three specialty retail locations across Terminals A, B, E, and F.

Concepts range from fast-casual, fast-food, and grab-and-go concepts to frozen treats, popcorn, cosmetics, and specialty retail.

All proposal submissions must be made through the Bonfire Procurement Platform.

DFW welcomed approximately 87 million customers in 2024, with continued growth projected to surpass 100 million passengers per year before 2030.

The latest RFP opportunity comes as DFW continues to make progress on its $12 billion capital improvement plan, DFW Forward, which is transforming terminals, expanding gate capacity and enhancing the customer experience across the entire airport. In addition to the new Terminal F, DFW is rebuilding Terminal C and expanding gate areas in Terminals A and C – projects that will introduce modern spaces, new amenities and a stronger platform for small and local businesses to grow inside one of the world’s busiest airports.
