Hipster Dallas pizzeria launches spinoff in the land of Forney
After nine years, Bishop Arts neighborhood pizzeria Eno's Pizza Tavern is finally opening a second location, and it's way, way east: in downtown Forney. The pizzeria will open at 215 S. Bois D’Arc St. in July.
A Bishop Arts pioneer, Eno's helped pave the way for the area's revival. Thin-crust pizza fans love its signature pies, featuring unique, high-end ingredient combos on its pies, like Benton's ham, house-made sausage, honey, and pepperoni; and pineapple with arugula salad, Benton’s ham, and jalapeño. And it was also a craft beer trailblazer with its excellent selection on tap.
The Forney location will be a 3,600 square-foot space with an eclectic, comfortable atmosphere similar to the original branch.
In addition to the pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches, the menu will offer several options exclusive to Forney. Not fair. There'll be appetizers, salads, soups, and desserts, plus a daily lunch special with a Caesar salad or cup of soup, two-topping personal pizza, and choice of beverage. Eno’s will also offer takeout with online ordering.
Co-owner Shane Spillers calls the new branch "an opportunity to become a part of the close-knit Forney community," and a "great fit for Eno's."
Partnerships with local organizations and other independent businesses have been a cornerstone to Eno’s success. Key contributions include being an early and avid supporter of the North Texas craft beer industry; establishing Brew Riot, one of the premier Dallas-area annual homebrew competitions; partnering with a local elementary school on the iBike Rosemont initiative to encourage students to stay active; and staying involved through various organizations such as the Bishop Arts District Merchants Association and the marketing board of VisitDallas.
