Food Trucks Jump the Shark
Even Taco Bueno now has a hipster food truck rolling around Dallas-Fort Worth
Since the concept of food trucks first emerged, we've been counting down the days until we can say they have officially jumped the shark. That day may be here: Taco Bueno is launching its first-ever food truck, TaGO Bueno.
The truck will be scheduled at major events and food truck parks around Dallas-Fort Worth, with the intention of expanding to other markets, including Oklahoma City and Tulsa. TaGO Bueno debuted on September 5 at the Thistle Hill Food Park in Fort Worth.
The truck's goal is to visit communities that do not have Taco Bueno. Awww, the truck has a goal.
"TaGO Bueno will not only allow us to reach our loyal customers from anywhere, it will allow us to share our food with new audiences who have yet to discover our delicious Tex-Mex," said Taco Bueno's Mike Roper.
According to a release, the truck's goal is to visit communities that do not have Taco Bueno. Awww, the truck has a goal. It also has its own Twitter account: @TaGOTruck.
Menu options may vary by event, but they will typically include an assortment of soft or crispy tacos with steak, chicken or beef; bean and combo burritos; quesadillas; nachos, chips and dips; and a cheesecake chimichanga for dessert. Menus can be personalized and hand-picked to fit the needs of private events.
TaGO Bueno will be at Thistle Hill Food Park for lunch from 11 am–2 pm every Thursday during September. It will also be at the three-day Hot Air Balloon Festival in Plano on September 20-22.
