Unsurprisingly, there is some holiday-themed boozing to do this week. But because it’s Dallas, there is also a barbecue feast and a handful of wine dinners. Dig in:
Wednesday, December 14
44 Farms Wine Dinner at CiboDivino Marketplace
Chefs Daniele Puleo and Ryan Olmos match food and wine to create an unforgettable dinner: ranchers caviar, cowboy coulotte salad, braised hanger steak, Kessler pecan-smoked prime rib, and candied New York strip and peppers. Tickets are $69, and dinner starts at 6:30 pm.
Smoke and Suds at Smoke Plano
Chef Tim Byres designs a custom menu with a special focus on Lakewood Brewing Company’s bourbon barrels, including the Threadspinner and the highly anticipated December release of the new Temptress. Menu items include Gruyère croquettes with fried parsley and lemon, German family-style sausage madness platters, bitter greens, and Stilton cheesecake with a walnut crust. Tickets are $80, and dinner starts at 6:30.

December Wine Experience at LAW Steakhouse Show Kitchen
Mix and mingle at this wine experience with Four Seasons Master Sommelier James Tidwell. Enjoy selected wines paired with custom holiday dining creations from chef de cuisine Johan van Niekerk. Admission is $45; call 917-717-2420 to reserve.
Deep Ellum Wine Walk
Deep Ellum Santa and his Jolly Elf return to bring you exciting, in-store events and promotions as they roll out the red carpet for a winter wonderland sip-and-shop adventure around the neighborhood. The fun begins at 6 pm; purchase a 2016 holiday edition glass for $10 at the check-in table, located at 2650 Main St. The admission glass is free for those who bring an unwrapped toy for the SoupMobile.
The Monthly Cut: Scotch + Cigars at Dallas Chop House
Don’t miss this premier culinary and pairing event featuring Glenfiddich. The event also features a special menu of chef Richard Triptow’s beef recipes and cigars on the Dallas Chop House patio. Tickets are $50, and the event starts at 6:30 pm.
Ugly Sweater Party at High Fives
Come check out your favorite Henderson Avenue bar, which has gone all out for Christmas. (The holiday décor includes more than 17,000 holiday lights.) The party kicks off at 6 pm with stocking decorating followed by an ugly sweater competition. There also will be dancing and jams from 9 pm until midnight, as well as food and drink specials.
Saturday, December 17
Deck the Paws at the Ivy Tavern
This holiday party gives back to our beloved furry friends, as proceeds benefit Dog & Kitty City. Expect specialty food and drink, tunes from DJ Fleetwood, holiday pet pics, and even adoptions. The event lasts from 1-4 pm, and wristbands (which get you two free drinks) are $25.
Ski Lodge Christmas Party at Eastwood’s Bar
Break out your après-ski gear and boots and join fellow bargoers for a good time. Guests are encouraged to bundle up in anything cozy, neon, furry, Spandex, country, or ski-related. Enjoy live music by DJ Leo Rock and drink specials. The bar also hosts a costume contest at midnight. The evening’s festivities kick off at 8 pm, and admission is free.
Treats of Christmas at NorthPark Center
Join NorthPark Center for the ultimate holiday bake sale benefiting the North Texas Food Bank. Presented by the Texas Chefs Association, dozens of premier chefs from area restaurants and catering companies present an assortment of gourmet cakes, sweets, pies, and cookies available for purchase. This event starts at 10 am, and admission is free.

Guest Chef Series at FT33
