Fresh-pressed juices squeeze onto menu at Dallas-area Neiman Marcus cafes
Following the juice craze that has gripped Dallas and the nation, Neiman Marcus is now pouring fresh-pressed juices in three of its Dallas-area cafes: The venerable Zodiac Room downtown, NM Cafe at NorthPark and Mariposa at Willow Bend.
Neiman’s partnered with New York-based The Juicery to provide three flavors of cold-pressed juices. The Greenwich has apple, beets, carrot, pomegranate and mint. Another blend contains carrot, orange and turmeric. The Mermaid has celery, lemons, spinach ginger, cucumbers and apple.
The Juicery, which often works with local suppliers, teamed up with Dallas-based Roots Juices on The Mermaid blend — a Neiman Marcus exclusive. All of the juices are served in an elegant carafe (of course), and an 8-ounce glass is $8.
For now, the juices are available only in the three cafes in Dallas. But Frank Zack, director of beverages and operations for Neiman Marcus food service, and Juicery owner Cindy Palusamy say if all goes well, they hope to expand to other markets.
CORRECTION: A previous version stated that Neiman Marcus had partnered with Roots Juices, not The Juicery, for its new program. The story has been updated with the correct information.
