Dallas-based Golden Chick is launching a first-of-its-kind restaurant prototype: a restaurant that's open 24 hours. The first location is now open at 2828 E. Ledbetter Dr., at Bonnie View Road.
According to a release, the new concept the restaurant is designed to let customers get their chicken any time of day, and is the first Golden Chick to be open 24/7.
Founded in Texas in 1967, Golden Chick specializes in chicken tenders, sandwiches, and roasted chicken. The chain has 230 locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
In addition to its new 24-hour status, the restaurant features an all-new restaurant design which serves Golden Chick’s full menu, including breakfast starting at 3 am and extending until 10 am.
They also recently introduced a Pimento Crunchwich Sandwich featuring fried chicken with pimento cheese spread, available through August 3.
The restaurant is open for both walk-in and drive-thru, and has beefed up its takeout program, with a new digital drive-thru menu, quick pick-up lobby, and a kitchen designed to expedite third party orders from DoorDash, UberEats and other services.
Its audience will include residents and commuters, since it is located between Interstates 45 and 35.
The chain is partnered on the location with franchisee Joseph Omobogie, who opened his first Golden Chick in Mesquite in 2006.
Golden Chick franchising president Brian Loescher says in a statement that "our team has had a focus on how we can elevate our locations and create new experiences for our guests when dining with us. Joseph is helping bring that vision of our brand to life with our newest prototype."
