Taste Addison marks 30 years this week.
The 30th anniversary of Taste Addison happens this week, providing for three straight days of tastings, sips, music, and visual arts. But that's not all there is to eat: Save room for a cabernet vertical tasting, pie, a student-produced farmers market, and lots of pie.
Tuesday, April 22
Aged to Perfection: A Premium Vertical Cabernet Sauvignon Wine Tasting at Lone Star Winery
McKinney wine destination will uncork the past with a very special vertical tasting of their flagship Big Red cabernet sauvignon, featuring vintages from 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2021. Three of the vintages are exclusive to the event and unavailable for purchase. Tickets are $47 plus tax and fee, and the tasting will run from 7–8:30 pm.

Taste Addison
The 30th annual family-friendly festival kicks off Friday night at Addison Circle Park for three days of tastings from local restaurants, wine and spirit tastings, music acts, and a more recent addition, visual arts. Guests can peruse pop-up restaurants and street food vendors and enjoy complimentary bites from the Tasting Hut. Tickets start at $10 for single day general admission to $250 for VIP three-day pass that comes with drink tickets, a Chow Hall pass, preferred viewing at the Main Stage, and more. Taste Addison runs Friday from 6 pm–midnight, Saturday 12 pm–midnight, and Sunday 12–6 pm.

Compass in Bloom: Farmers Market
The Compass School of Texas will host its second annual farmers market showcasing student-grown produce and student-developed products. Highlights include energy bars and jams from third graders, teas, crackers, and dressings from second graders, and butter, cream cheese, and breads from first graders. The event is open to the public and will take place from 10 am–1 pm on campus at 5414 W. Northwest Hwy.
Texas Pie Fest
The annual homage to pie is back at Tate Farms in Rockwall featuring pie vendors from all over the state along with food trucks, artisan vendors, a pie-baking contest, pie-eating contest, pie fight, and more. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children 8 and under get in free. The event will run from 10 am–3 pm.
Frisco Uncorked
Fifth annual food and wine festival presented by H-E-B will take place at Frisco Square and feature bites from more than a dozen restaurants and nearly two dozen wines. Participating eateries include Truluck’s, Moxie’s, Whiskey Cake, and Loro, to name a few. Tickets are $80 for both food and wine tastings or pay $45 for just food tastings or just wine. A $125 VIP ticket includes an open bar, exclusive tastings, a VIP tent, photos ops and activations. The party runs from 12–6 pm.
Monday, April 28
Ride & Ridden & Royal Prince Wine Dinner at Sea Breeze
Plano seafood destination will host a five-course pairing dinner featuring two big names in the wine world: Ride & Ridden and Royal Prince. Enjoy scallops ceviche, jumbo lump crab arancini, olive oil poached halibut, roasted beef tenderloin with exotic mushroom tapenade, and lemon olive oil cake. The dinner is $140 plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6 pm with cocktail hour before a 7 pm dinner start time.
