Fall Harvest Dinner at Asador
At this seasonal dinner series created by chef Brad Phillips, celebrate the fall harvest with a locally inspired, three-course, family-style dinner starting at 6:30 pm. Courses include a local kale salad, Gulf snapper combo, roasted beets with Deep Ellum blue cheese, and more. Dinner is $90, and the price includes beverages and parking. Numanthia Wine Dinner at Salum Restaurant
Join Abraham Salum as he kicks off fall with a five-course dinner that includes special pairings from the Spanish winery Numanthia. The dinner includes dishes such as pork tenderloin with blackberry mustard glaze, chickpea, and cauliflower mash; plum-braised short ribs, crispy sweetbreads, and charred greens; and sticky date, chocolate, and toffee pudding. Revolver Brewing Dinner at Julia Pearl
Celebrate National Drink Beer Day with Julia Pearl executive chef Jermaine Brown, who is cooking up a four-course feast featuring pairings from Granbury’s Revolver Brewing. Courses include marinated grilled shrimp with fried cheese-grits cake and citrus sauce; Southern fried chicken and gravy biscuit with collard greens and garlic roasted potatoes; smoked pork belly and tenderloin duo with sweet potato puree and crispy Brussels sprouts; and chocolate mousse cake with caramel sauce and sweet roasted pecans. Tickets are $50, and dinner starts at 7 pm.
The Slanted Door Tribute Dinner at Trio New American Cuisine
This interactive, multicourse “Last Wednesday” chef’s tasting dinner occurs on the last Wednesday of every month. For September, chef Jason Harper pays homage to James Beard Award-winning chef Charles Phan and his famed San Francisco Vietnamese restaurant, Slanted Door. Sammons Lunch Jam at Sammons Park
Want to see the next Erykah Badu? Then head to this free event supported by Neiman Marcus, which features performers from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Spice up your lunch hour with Dallas' best food trucks, or bring your own picnic. The musical theater and visual artists students perform starting at noon.
Toast of the Town with chef Vijay Sadhu at Cook Hall
In partnership with Savor Dallas, guests can be a part of creating an unforgettable four-course dinner, including exquisite wine pairings. In addition to assisting the chef in preparing and plating each dish, guests are also treated to exclusive culinary demonstrations. Tickets are $125, and the event starts at 7 pm.
Friday, September 30
Le Diner en Blanc
The picnic-style Parisian dinner party is popping up again, in an undisclosed location. Expect dinner from Food Glorious Food, entertainment by Bravo, dancing, and a Pyrotex fireworks show. Participants — 2,200 are expected — of this mysterious dinner are in charge of setting up and taking down the entire operation, leaving no sign of their experience when it is all over. Tickets are $37, and more information will be emailed before the night of the event — if you make it off the wait list.
Saturday, October 1
The Italian Tour
Explore the food of Dallas’ best Italian eateries, from pizza made with an oven imported from Naples to cannolis at an Italian market. The tour starts at the Krispy Kreme on Greenville Avenue at 1 pm. Cost is $59, and that includes transportation via bus, samples, beverages, and a tour guide. Venues are announced post purchase via email.
