The Soft Touch
Lela Rose, Douglas Hannant and Barbara Tfank aim for classic beauty in fall collections

Enough with harsh military-and-leather looks. Three designers show the softer side of fall, and it's a thing of beauty.
Hannant told Style.com [http: /www.style.com/fashionshows/review/F2013RTW-DHANNANT] that he planned a collection "stripped of theatrics" so he could concentrate on craftsmanship of the clothes. But there was still plenty of showmanship in the shiny Lurex fabric and such details as ruffled leather peplums, sheared mink collars and polka-dotted lace sleeves. Pictured here: Douglas Hannant emerald Lurex peplum dress.
